Sanaz Boroujerdian, born in 1982 in Tehran, is a talented musician and educator with a passion for nurturing young minds through the power of music. Her journey in music began when she completed her Bachelor of Music degree in Tar performance from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, in 2005.

In pursuit of further knowledge and expertise, Sanaz ventured to San Francisco, where she completed an internship program at the esteemed San Francisco school. Under the guidance of trainers Sofia Lopez and James Harding, she delved deep into the world of Orff pedagogy, refining her teaching techniques and approaches. In 2022, she accomplished a significant milestone by completing the San Francisco International Orff course, excelling in levels 1 through 3.

Throughout her professional journey, Sanaz has made a profound impact on the lives of young learners. From 2008 to 2022, she passionately taught Orff music to children between the ages of 3 and 8 at the Pars Music Institute, fostering their musical talents and creativity. Additionally, from 2008 to 2011, she shared her knowledge and love for music with children in grades 2 to 5 at Kherad Primary School.

Sanaz’s dedication to music education extends beyond the classroom. Over the years, she has been actively involved in training teachers through workshops conducted at renowned institutions like the Pars Music Institute (2016-2022) and Adamak: Iranian Orff Schulwerk Association (2017-2023). Her commitment to empowering educators reflects her vision of creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.

In addition to her teaching endeavors, Sanaz has showcased her musical prowess in various performances. Her skillful Tar playing has graced the stages of prestigious ensembles such as the Tehran Youth Orchestra, Women’s Chakavak band, and Chakavak Azad band. As a singer, she has lent her voice to the enchanting harmonies of the University of Tehran Choir. Furthermore, her talent extends to playing the recorder, an instrument she enriches through her participation in the Pars Recorder Ensemble.

In 2023, Sanaz embarked on a new chapter in her music career as a music instructor at Golestan School, where she passionately imparts her knowledge to preschool and elementary school students. Her dedication to nurturing the next generation of musicians and her profound love for music continues to inspire and shape the lives of her students.
